Accounting Manager

Sami never saw herself as a numbers girl. Raised with a passion for reading, writing and music, she subscribed to the narrative that since she was so good with words, she couldn't possibly be good with numbers at the same time. But when a bookkeeping position opened up at her previous employment, she simply thought, "Who said? Who said I wasn't? Who said I couldn't?," and made the decision to believe in herself and go for it, and she did with all the gusto of a starving artist. That curious thought sparked a passion, ambition and excitement for the accounting world in which she now thrives and leads. Numbers are language. Numbers are communication. Numbers are an artform. And, backed with a BA in Psychology from the University of Virginia, as well as years of accounting experience, Sami can be found channeling her inner creativity to produce new, seamless policies that streamline the accounting process for everyone at GFS.

When she is not orchestrating payment design, she is passionately creating poetry and music under her artist name, Sami Seal, as co-founder of the all-women's art collective, Ghost Honey. Her sultry voice and poetry is most notably featured in the music video for "Softer" by artist Contour, as well as her debut album, Swanky.
